They carefully choose these inner cuts from the heartwood of the tree adding a stylish and graceful visual look. The Classic grain is has momentous differences in the grain with natural occurring mineral characters with modest variations in shading. The Rustic grains have expansive variations in color with unique knots and mineral streaks are exclusive characteristics of rustic wood flooring creating charisma to any room.

     Shaw offers both solid and engineered wood. Solid wood is milled from a single ¾" inch piece of hardwood. Engineered wood can be installed at all levels of the home and is fashioned with three to five layers of hardwood. Each layer is constructed in a cross-grain fashion and then bonded together under heat and pressure. Shaw offers two different types of engineered wood including one with a hardwood core the other a high density fiberboard core. Installation is easy by offering Versalock ™ with a patented tongue and groove technology that secures flooring panels on all sides for installation without adhesive or nails. It can also be taken apart and re-assembled.

     Shaw also offers moldings that accentuates the look of your home and also offers seamless transitions room to room within your home. They offer stairnoses that coordinates the look of hardwood steps. Reducers offer clean transitions to other types of flooring. Thresholds, are an type of reducer option, are used for room to room transitions. T-Moldings are commonly used in doorways to join hardwood floors to adjoining rooms. A quarter-round is used for adding an expansion space to the floor and the wall by adding a nice finishing touch. Wall-bases give the room a dramatic finishing touch with borders at the base of your wall.
